Value: 30% of the total marks for the subject.
Length: 5 pages maximum including footnotes but not including bibliography.

Submission Online Moodle submission through Turnitin. Follow instructions on

Format of Assignment
• All pages should be in black type with 2.54 cm margins on all sides (left, right, top, bottom).
• The font size must be 12 point font using the ‘Times’ font.
• Line spacing must be ‘double spaced’.
• Pages must be numbered.
• Referencing must be in accordance with the Australian Guide to Legal Citation (‘AGLC’), 4th
edition, 2018.
• Footnotes must be used.
• A bibliography must be attached.
Assessment Criteria
• Identification and analysis of the relevant legal issues;
• Accurate identification of the relevant law (authorities) for the issues;
• Appropriate application of law to facts;
• Logical structure and clear, concise written expression;
• Appropriate referencing, in accordance with the AGLC; and
• Conformity with format and page length specifications.
These assessment criteria are not equally weighted.
