CRN258 Leadership & Change in Organization - 202447
December 8, 2024
, Based on my self-reflection and analysis, my primary style of leadership is
Transformational Leadership. This style of leadership emphasizes inspiring
and motivating followers to achieve a shared vision and goals.
Two leadership theories/styles that would be beneficial to my current/future
leadership role are:
1. Servant Leadership: This theory, developed by Robert Greenleaf,
emphasizes the leader's role as a servant to their followers. Servant
leaders prioritize the needs of their followers, empower them to make
decisions, and foster a positive and supportive work environment
(Greenleaf, 1970).
To apply Servant Leadership, I would focus on building strong relationships
with my team members, listening to their concerns and ideas, and providing
them with the resources and support they need to succeed. I would also
empower them to make decisions and take ownership of their work.
Two positive outcomes I would expect from applying Servant Leadership are:
Increased job satisfaction and engagement among team members
Improved collaboration and teamwork among team members
2. Adaptive Leadership: This theory, developed by Ronald Heifetz and
Marty Linsky, emphasizes the leader's role in adapting to changing
circumstances and leading their followers through periods of
uncertainty and change (Heifetz & Linsky, 2002).
