If the CII is initially filled LATER than 30 days after the date issued, it may be partially
filled if:
1) the RPh is unable to dispense the total qty prescribed 2) the partial fill amount is
recorded on the written Rx or in the electronic Rx record 3) the remaining portion
is filled within 72 hrs of the partial filling; AND 4) the RPh notifies the prescribing
physician if the remaining portion cannot be filled within 72 hrs. (NO further qty may be
supplied beyond 72hrs without a new RX)
PARTIAL FILLING of an Rx for CIII-V shall be recorded in the same manner as a
REFILL, providing the total qty of partial filling doe NOT exceed the total qty prescribed
