Divisions of pathology
Introduction:
Human pathology is the largest branch of the field of pathology. It
is basically divided into the following:
1. General Pathology: It deals with the general principles of disease.
Like cell injury, inflammation, etc.
2. Systemic Pathology: In this study of diseases related to different
organs. Like respiratory disease, renal disease, etc.
The above table is made to classify human pathology.
As it is easy to understand.

, A. HISTOPATHOLOGY:
Histopathology is the study of tissue.
It is the classic method of study and is most useful till now.
In this branch, study can be done by the naked eye and then with
the help of a microscope.
Microscopy can be accompanied by various stains.
Modern time anatomic pathology is: cardiac pathology, pulmonary
pathology, neuropathology, renal pathology, gynaecologic
pathology, breast pathology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal
pathology, oral pathology, and so on.
Anatomic pathology has 3 main subdivisions:
1. Surgical pathology: Study of tissue removed from the living
body.
-Study can be done by paraffin embedding techniques and frozen
section methods.
