of evaluation, & strategic partnerships.

Concerned with reducing the impact of an ongoing illness & injury that has lasting
effects. ex. cardiac or stroke rehab programs, support groups.
4. Secondary
Concerned with trying to detect a disease early & prevent it from getting worse. ex.
regular exams & screening tests.
5. Primary
Concerned with the prevention of the onset of disease, goal is to reduce the incidence
of disease. ex. vaccinations.
6. PANS
A clinical diagnosis given to children who have a dramatic practically overnight, onset of
neuropsychiatric symptoms including OCD &/or eating disorder
7. PANDAS
Pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder associated with strep; this is a subset
of PANS
