Virtual Laboratory Activity - BIOL 1121 - Unit 1
Data Collection and Result:
While you are working on this virtual lab activity, please record your data in the tables
below.
1) Data Collection Tables
A. Hypothesis Formulation
Environment Hypothesis
Grassland Within the Grassland environment, the color of the prey will have a
negligible affect on their survival rates due to the generally uniform
foundation. Subsequently, both grey and brown prey will appear
comparative survival rates.
Mountain Within the Mountain Rock environment, grey prey will have the next
Rock survival rate than brown prey since the rough foundation gives way better
camouflage for grey-colored prey, giving them a versatile advantage.
Desert Sand Within the Desert Sand environment, the survival rates of grey and brown
prey will be generally adjusted. The sandy foundation may offer a few
camouflages to both colors, coming about in not one or the other color
having a critical versatile advantage over the other.

Overall Observation:
Within the grassland environment, the normal beginning rates for dim and brown prey
were 54.5% and 47.5%, separately. After the reenactment, the normal finishing rates
were 52% for grey prey and 46% for brown prey. This recommends that both grey and
brown prey have moderately comparable survival rates in this environment, with a slight
