Participating in sports is more than one’s physical health (Maslen, 2015). According
to Davis (2023), an assistant professor at UAGC (University of Arizona Global
Campus),Teams are more than just a number of individuals; teams create results that are
superior to the simple sum of its individual members. Their slogan was “together
everyone achieves more”(para.13).Team sports can help reduce stress levels and
stimulate a positive outlook and enhance general spiritual health of well-being (Army and
Navy Academy, 2022). A conclusion stated that some children are not keen on the
activity because they had not embraced the working culture, parents can give them the
chance to pick up a skill off the field, kids emulate their parents (Perkel, 2022). Team
sports can positively affect adolescents by improving academic performance and
promoting healthy lifestyle behavior.
To begin with,Team sports have been considered by many educational experts as an
essential tool for individual academic development. A study conducted by the University
of Kansas revealed that more than 97% of student athletes graduated high school, which
was 10% higher than non-athletes. Qurban et al. (2018) stated that “in every society, one
of the main aims of parents and teachers for students is to succeed better academically.”
