By comparing the two results, it will give us values of the coefficient of velocity, the coefficient of contraction and the coefficient of discharge. Introduction The AE 341 lab that was performed was the flow through an orifice to examine the vertical flow of water from a reservoir through an orifice. Using the volumetric hydraulic bench, this experiment was completed. Procedure and Equipment Equipment: 1:Piping with Overflow pipe, Orifice 2: Volumetric Bench Flow Through an Orifice Zagal Nyamdagva 3 3: Thermometer 4: Chronometer Procedure: 1: Measure water temperature using thermometer. 2: Turn on electrical pump and open the bench valve until the reservoir head reading is 390 mm. 3: Complete five runs of measurements at a constant head of 390 mm. A single run consists of measuring the water volume in bench tank and a chronometer to measure time. 4: Measure the diameter of the flow stream, below the vena contrata. 5: Complete another 10 runs but now reduce th
