Laboratory diagnosis is a clinical activity in
which information acquired in a clinical laboratory
at the order of physicians is used for prevention,
diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. It consists of
three stages : pre-analysis, analysis, and post-
analysis.

(1)pre-analysis:
Statistical data show that more than 60% of the
reasons for the error of the test results come from
pre-analysis, especially the collection and
processing of specimens , for example:
1)Tests in the resting state
2)On an empty stomach: 8-hour fast

(2)analysis: Laboratory doctor use a variety of
testing methods to test specimens and get the test
report. this is Laboratory doctor’s responsibility
(3)post-analysis: When the Laboratory doctor gets
a report, he must check the report and confirm that
there is no problem with the report. Then he can
release the report.
