• is one of the components of the circulatory system, and it
serves a critical role in both immune function and surplus
extracellular fluid drainage.
• is a network of organs, vessels and tissues that work
together to move a colorless, watery fluid (lymph) back into
your circulatory system (your bloodstream)
• Lymphatic system organs include your bone marrow, thymus
and lymph nodes, Spleen
,Functions of the system;
I. plays a role in the defenses of the body.
II. also removes extra lymph fluid from the bodily tissues a
sends it back to the blood
III. protects you from infection and destroys old or abnorma
cells your body doesn’t need.

1. Bone marrow
• is the soft, spongy tissue in the center of certain bones, lik
your hip bone, backbones and breastbone.
• making white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets.
2. Thymus
• This organ is located in your upper chest beneath your
breastbone, and it’s most active before puberty.
• It’s where T-cells (a type of white blood cell) fully mature.
cells help your body fight off invaders.
