, Definition of key terms
• Integrated community case management (ICCM): Is a strategy that
enables the assessment, classification, treatment and referral of cases
of the main causes of mortality among children under the age of 5
years.
• ICCM implementation: This involves the interventions closer to which
caregivers and sick children with access challenges are assessed
• Childhood: Refers to the chronological age of human being below the
age of 18 years marking the boundary between childhood and
adulthood
• Mortality: Number of deaths in a particular population of infants in
general or due to specific cause
