Technology and Livelihood Education or TLE is vital to becoming a productive member of
the modern workforce. Choosing a career path, and then learning the technology and
livelihood skills related to that field or industry, can be an excellent way to improve the chances
of succeeding in a career endeavor.
Relation of industrial arts to technology
Industrial Arts is commonly referred to as Technology Education. It may include small engine
repair and automobile maintenance, and all programs usually cover technical drawing as part of
the curricula.

livestock. It includes the preparation of plant and animal products for people to use and their
distribution to markets. Agriculture provides most of the world's food and fabrics.

D. Industrial arts is an educational program which features fabrication of objects in wood or metal
using a variety of hand, power, or machine tools. Industrial Arts is commonly referred to as
Technology Education.
E. Information and communications technology (ICT) is an extensional term
for information technology (IT) that stresses the role of unified communications and the

development, decision making, and intrapersonal skills. Taking courses in TLE/Home
Economics at school allow students to acquire the necessary decision making, social,

Subjects like dressmaking, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Commercial
Cooking, Housekeeping, Electronics Servicing, and Food Processing and Fish
Processing among others equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills
needed in day-to-day activities, as well as enterprising endeavors
