Data Flow Diagrams.
A data flow diagram refers to the sequence followed in a computer-based system. A DFD
contains all the operations that take place in an organization; it shows information flow from the
time it is obtained from the customer to the time the information is stored in the database
(Chong, 2020). We are going to look at two DFDs for the training information system. Both
DFDs will entail all the steps that are required for the process to be completed.
The First DFD.
In the first DFD, the customer details are obtained, then a decision is made whether the
customer requires computer-based solutions or training. The information is sent to the correct
section whether, training or to the solutions section.
The Second DFD.
In the second DFD, customers will provide the information which is stored then they are
directed to their respective sections where they will be required to provide specific information
relevant to the section. This system is detail-oriented and exhaustive; all the information is
provided by the customer and stored in the database. This system also is advantageous since
when a customer returns, they are not required to give any information since they will have
already been registered.
