Critical Thinking
Critical Thinking is used when dealing with people or problems whether it be personal or
professional to come up with a solution to any issues or problems. Critical Thinking also has
many other benefits to name a few: helps construct and deconstruct arguments that rationally
defend one’s opinions and increases academic knowledge. (Marti Abitheira). When does critical
thinking start? As a child it starts, children continue to build on the knowledge and experience as
they get older being able to problem solve and form ideals and opinions.In its most rudimentary
form, critical thinking can be defined as “thinking about thinking”. (Marti Abitheira)
Critical Thinking is defined in many ways. I believe the ability to think and understand
the logical connections between ideals is important to Critical Thinking. The main goal of
Critical Thinking is examining the situation and putting forth a solution before making a
conclusion.“Critical Thinking skills can make it easier for us to persuade others to change their
beliefs.” (William Hughes, 2000). Critical thinking is beneficial as it may help you see things
differently that you may have formulated an opinion without knowing all the facts. When
Critical Thinking is not applied to problem solving or brainstorming it could leave room for a
predilection and ornot open-minded opinion.
What is critical thinking? There are multiple correct answers however everyone has their
own views of critical thinking.There has been multiple studies and statistics made with opinions
