Humanistic Theory Analysis
The thesis of this paper is Jim Carrey’s human perspective on life and how it can be
analyzed by Maslow’s and Roger’s perspective. James Eugene Carrey, also known as Jim
Carrey, was the person I picked. Carrey is an American actor, comedian, journalist, producer,
and artist from Canada. He was born in New Market, Canada, on January 17, 1962. Carrey had a
rough time growing up, and when he was younger, he had to drop out of high school only to
support his family. Carrey worked as a janitor in a factory for two years after leaving school. He
eventually made his professional debut at 15 years of age as a stand-up comic at a Toronto club
and made a living out of it.
Human Perspective
Jim Carrey is the humanitarian who is deeply concerned about the state of the world, for
which he has great compassion and idealism. He has a utopian personality. He looks at life from
a completely different perspective than he did in the past. Carrey sees the world differently now;
he is becoming positive and appreciating the little things in life. After everything he has gone
through, he focuses on what the world could be and tries to make good things out of it.
Maslow’s Perspective
The hierarchy of needs is Maslow’s human outlook. In psychology, it is a motivational
theory containing a five-tier human needs model, sometimes represented as hierarchical tiers
inside a pyramid. The pyramid explains that you need to have the basic needs and psychological
