Social media is affected greatly on a micro and macro levels. This is highly affected by a social
phenomenon. Social media are websites or apps that take place online. They can cause
addictions based on the surrounding and environment of the individual. Social Phenomenon
includes acts of social deviance and inequality, basically any act that goes against social norms
and values.
Certain Acts like this are included but not limited to racism, bullying, racial
discrimination, catfishing, and many other things that may target people. Social Media allows
attackers to prey and attack on others while being able to hide their identity while gaining only
for their own benefit. Another negative effect that that comes with the use of social media is
the mass media itself. From a large deviant, when people take action on these things on social
media, the stability of those are questioned mentally When individuals are attacked by people
and corporations on social media this can cause mental and emotional health issues. Any type
of behavior like this, whether on a wide scale, or more personal, can have negative effects for
social media users. There are many things and psychological behaviors such as depression,
anxiety, and even thoughts of suicide. Social Media is a huge platform that contains very little
