Personal Finance Basics
Personal finance plays an important role throughout our lives. Personal finance is
when we make decisions on how to manage our money, budget, and investments. There are
different types of personal finances. For example a student may be having problems paying
for college, so he decides to get a loan to help cover his tuition. We learn about financial
literacy at a young age when we learn what money is for and what we can do with it. We start
thinking of things we can do with money. As we get older we learn more and about finances
through school, books, magazines, other people, etc. After reading over all the articles and
materials, I feel that the main idea would be, learning the guidelines to be a financially
successful student.
The information that I read in the articles was very good and important tips to become
a financially stable person and be able to follow a budget. I feel that the tips that were given
in the articles will help me because I learn how to start saving money from eating out so
much and start cooking more meals at home. I also plan to start paying my bills on time, so I
wont't add late fees or disconnect notices because with disconnects there are reconnect fees.
It's important to start prioritizing my spending and think before I just start buying things.
The areas I need to grow in is to start saving money and quit spending spending so
much on shopping, gambling, hobbies, etc. It would be good for me to start paying on loans I
have and stop taking advantage of procrastination and putting things off and waiting. Then
when the time comes I fall behind more because I be done spent the money that was for a
certain bill or loan payment.
