The TAFT-Hartley act 1947 - ANS balence power between unions & employees this power was used by Ronald Regan in 1980's to stop strikes. Prohibits/outlaws closed shops. NLRB - ANS National labor relations board What are yellow dog contracts? - ANS A contract between a worker and an employer in which the worker agrees not to remain in or join a union. What are lock- outs? - ANS Where they lock you out of work and will not let you in. What is "right-to-work-laws"? - ANS It does not mean unions are forbidden I. These states but ban union shops and memberships. Workers are able to work for a living without being compelled to work in union.
