Week 8: Where Do You Go From Here? Improving patient outcomes is paramount to healthcare improvement today. 1. How has your thinking changed about nursing research and evidence- based practice as the result of this course? 2. Will the information you learned during this course be helpful in your nursing role today? As we all know, change is very difficult for many people. We get stuck in our routines and become comfortable. When faced with change many people have a difficult time adjusting. It is important to fully understand what is being changed and have the proper evidence to back up the change. "You may propose a change based on evidence that will positively affect the problem or issue. It is important to consider available resources, including finances, personnel, and time, to implement evidence-based practice in this step" (Chamberlain College of Nursing, 2017). After completing this course, my knowledge of evidence-based practice has tremendously increased. I am now able to identify key terms to better my research and I am able to identify the research that I am finding. This will help to ensure that the research I am using is adequate.
