Course Catalog Description:
This course focuses on the care of adult patients experiencing complex, multi-system health problems including
shock, trauma, transplantations, organ donation, and disaster management. Guided by established professional
standards, guidelines, competencies, and best practices, clinical experiences provide learners the opportunity to
apply psychomotor skills, psychosocial concepts, communication, legal and ethical responsibilities, and the nursing
process to provide safe, quality, patient-centered nursing care for adult patients, families, and communities.

Course Requirements:
1. Achieve a minimum cumulative course average of 74%.
2. Achieve a score of 90% or higher on the dosage calculation test.
3. Achieve a minimum of “Satisfactory” on the clinical evaluation.
4. Achieve a “Pass” on each written assignment.
5. Achieve a “Pass” on all weekly discussions.
