RATCHETING TOURNIQUET - ANSWER-1. There is a
pediatric version of a ratcheting tourniquet, which is
designed for the smaller limb size of young children. 2.

up anymore. Ratcheting tourniquets are self-securing.
Remember, you can apply a second tourniquet if you've
tightened the tourniquet as much as you can but the
bleeding hasn't stopped. Apply the second tourniquet
above the first, closer to the heart.
Also, remember, once you have applied a tourniquet, do
not loosen or remove it.
