ABSTRACT
Objective – This report document examines very deep the studies that put into consideration project life cycle analysis and explanation of its theory in the
project management
of Offshore Oil rig platform to the North Sea.
Methodology/approach – The approach or method used is based on examining the Offshore Oil rig industry and discovering their meanings, construction
difficulties, comparison, and the different stages the project undergo for its completion. The approach also looks at how the project management technique-
critical path analysis and activity-on-node (AON) diagram are applied to this kind of industry. It is concerns with the study, development and application of
the project life cycle analysis theory approaches at the level of project management systems.
Originality – As effects to analyze, determine the industry's application, explaining project life cycle theory, drawing the AON diagram, coming up with
critical path analysis, and interpreting and analyzing.

The project life cycle is referred to different stages that a project undergoes from its start to its completion. A well-established project life cycle
enhances order and structure to the project. According to (Archibald 2007), the purposes of establishing, documenting and designing the whole project life
cycle for any project are to:
It enable all individual interested with e projects to know the processes needs to be followed throughout the project's whole life.
Enable the efficient and effective into use of project management software packages integrated with the right information systems of concern.
Enable the project responsibilities and planning, estimating, timing or scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating methods. The tools to be the
right one in relation to related to the whole project life cycle analysis theory process; this involves s most importantly delegating qualified
individuals to the function of the project and at the right points of the project life cycle phases, as it is known.
It document and capture the feeling of good experiences within the firms or the organization or the so that each phase of the project processes
can be improved and continued to be applied on future alike projects.
2. Explanation of project life cycle theory and its application in the industry
A well-established project cycle has the following major phases: concept, planning, implementation and termination. These phases is the representation of
stages or the path that a project must undertake from the beginning to its finishing point.
2.1 Concept phase
At this phase, the project goal, objective and the essential need is determined, such as opportunity or business problem. An appropriate response to the
requirements is documented with better recommendable solutions. This leads to the feasibility study, which is normally undertaken to determine if each need
