Het North Side Tunnel Project (NSTP) De bouw van een 20 km lange tunnel als
onderdeel van de Olympische Spelen in 2000 werd de infrastructuur aangepast, onder
een van de duurste binnenlandse onroerend goed in Sydney. Het doel van de tunnel
was om regenwater, samen met ongezuiverd rioolwater dat werd gesteund in het
regenwatersysteem toen er zware regenbuien plaatsvonden, naar een
kustwaterzuiveringsstation te brengen voor behandeling en vier kilometer naar zee
pompen. Het project werd geïnitieerd door een van de grootste openbare bedrijven
