, Introduction Abigail Doe
Dictionary.Canbridge.org defines the Ku Klux Klan as: a secret US organization of
white Protestant Americans, especially in the south of the country, who oppose
people of other races or religions. But how secret is this organization? What have
these people done? These are questions to which I will try to find answers in the
coming months. I dive into the world of extreme right-wing racism and search for the
true definition of the Ku Klux Klan. I will do this from a different angle than usual. I will
try to find my answers in the crimes that this organization has committed. Who are
the people behind the white robes? When you google Ku Klux Klan, you bump into
pretty common stuff. When the organization originated, what reason it had, where
they are located. It's all superficial information, and that's not what I want to find. As I
said I want to know who is behind the white robes and not what the white robes are.
But I also want to find the victims of this organization. Because who are the people
who have become victims of the white robes. And why were they victims? Besides
the hatred the Ku Klux Klan harboured against certain population groups. And how
did the media react to the Ku Klux Klan? And was anyone convicted for his actions?
At the end of this report, I hope to have found my answers, and I hope that you,
reader, may also be a little wiser about the Ku Klux Klan than just knowing when they
were founded.
