1. Introduction
In English grammar, voice shows whether the subject of a sentence is doing the action or
receiving the action.
There are two types of voice:
● Active Voice
● Passive Voice
2. Active Voice
A sentence is in active voice when the subject performs the action.
Structure
Subject + Verb + Object
Examples
● She writes a letter.
● The teacher explains the lesson.
● John kicked the ball.
