Introduction
The writer selected a Master’s Degree Nurse to interview. This nurse currently works, as
a Clinical Educator. The educational career path is on that the writer has decided to embark upon.
The writer feels that the path maybe identical to the interviewee. The interview will include the
following: an overview of the interviewee’s career, reasons for seeking graduate, education,
usefulness of its role and any pearls of wisdom to offer.
Overview Nurse’s Career
The interviewee career path originally was chosen with the observance of mistreatment of
patients at a hospital. It was decided then, to make a difference in the lives which she came in
touch with. However, further education would have to transpire before this could be
accomplished. The career path began in the nursing. It began with achieving, the role of Certified
Nursing Assistant (CNA). While working as CNA, the satisfaction with not achieved, so the path
continued. The career path continues with enrolling in the Associate Degree Program of Nursing
(ADN) program which proved to be more of a challenge than expected, but with hard work,
faith, prayer and perseverance was successful. After, successful completion of the ADN program,
her employer made an announcement that all Registered Nurses (RN’s) would need to achieve
their Bachelor in Nursing (BSN). They provided tuition reimbursement which made the decision
to return more affordable and effortless to decide. After, completion went off without a hitch but
she was not satisfied and longed for more. She longed to continue her professional career in
education to be afforded the opportunity to teach at higher level of education. This is urged her to
continue her career path.
