1.1.1. Inclusive learning environment refers to:

 Creating an environment in which all learners have access to good quality education.

 Creating an environment that is supportive of the educational system where the learning needs
of all can be met.


1.1.2. Transformative approach refers to: adapting teaching that is different thus implementing non-
discrimination, redress, equity and democracy into the school and classroom. This can be done by
developing a learning environment that is inclusive. In doing so, the learning environment will be
improved.



1.1.3. Reasons for having a broader approach to support are as follows:

 Helping to make lessons and learning contents accessible in such a manner that accommodates
all learners.
 By supporting multiple intelligence, it enables the teacher to identify and tackle the barriers that
inhibits learning. This is reinforced through inclusive learning programmes.
 It enables inclusive education and diversity to be achieved.



1.1.4. Disruptive behavior refers to having difficulty maintaining discipline in the classroom. This could
be by uncooperative and troublesome behavior displayed vocally or physically. For example, a student
interrupting a class for no reason.

Learning difficulties refers to physical or mental problems that cause learners to struggle with learning.
This inhibits a learner’s ability to gain the necessary skills and knowledge. For example have a difficulty
in reading.



1.1.5. Developing a classroom system that supports learning for all learners can be done by:

Identifying factors that are causing learners to struggle and creating an effective manner to
support these factors.
For example if language is a barrier to learning: Find alternative teaching strategies to
accommodate these learners.
Identify barriers to learning and equipping learners with skills that will enable them to deal
with these barriers independently.
For example if learning poses as a barrier, have learners do tasks in their home language
first.
Ensuring that these classroom learning support systems cater for the learning of multiple
intelligence.

multiple intelligence.
Allowing for equal learning opportunities for all.
