Tips voor het schrijven van een brief


Gebruik de goede volgorde:
1. Eigen adres (zonder naam)
2. Adres van de ontvanger met naam boven hun adres
3. Datum
4. Onderwerp (reference)
5. Ontvanger begroeten met Dear Sir or Madam (als je de persoon
niet kent) of Dear Mr… (als je de persoon kent)
6. Brief schrijven
7. Eindigen met yours faithfully, (wannneer je de persoon niet kent)
yours sincerely, (wanneer je de persoon kent)
8. Handtekening
9. Eigen naam

Opbouw van een formele brief:
- Eerste alinea: waarom je het schrijft
- Middenstuk: vertellen waarom je het schrijft
- Een-na-laatste stuk: Wat wil je dat de persoon doet met jouw brief.
- Laatste alinea: Afsluiten met: Thank you in advance for the
information, of andere afsluit zin.

Afsluiten van een formele brief:
- Wanneer je de persoon kent: Yours sincerely,
- Wanneer je de persoon niet kent: Yours faithfully,
- Handtekening
- Eigen naam

Makkelijke standaard zinnen voor een brief waar je iets vraagt:
- Dear Mr…/ Mrs…..,
- My name is…..
- Thank you for your e-mail
- I would like to invite you to….
- I will see you in….
- I was not able to..
