you feel? I feel that it progressed rather quickly between sim one and two. At the
end of sim two, Julia appeared to be fine.

nursing actions were appropriate giving JuliaÕs situation.

for Julia Morales and Lucy Grey? JuliaÕs breathing was getting shallower and
shallower. Ensuring the family was prepared was top priority.

process and postmortem care? Therapeutic communication is essential in a
nurse patient relationship. Without it, important information can be left out.
PCC What potential barriers might affect Julia MoralesÕs wish to die peacefully? If
her family had not agreed with her wishes.
PCC/I What strategies might empower Lucy Grey in making decisions about
Julia MoralesÕs end-of-life care? Lucy stepped when Julia needed her most
when providing care in the home. She will do whatever she needs to do to

and feelings amongst coworkers, so they do not express it in front of the
