Background 
An enzyme is a protein molecule that acts as a catalyst to increase the rate of a reaction. A 
catalyst is a chemical that speeds up a chemical reaction but is not used up in the reaction. 
Enzymes work by fitting with a specific substrate ( reactant molecule ). When the substrate binds 
to the active site it’s bonds become less stable and therefore are more likely to be altered and
