SUBJECT: ENHANCING VOLUNTEER YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN MARYLAND-
ELITE SOCCER CLUB.
DATE: 04/08/21
Background
With the rapid increase in the number of the club's soccer team members leaving,
Maryland Elite Soccer Club's popularity and overall performance have declined. Consequently,
fans have been less supportive due to the club’s performance in the most recent tournaments and
competitions. It is vital that the club's management, the board members, treat this occurrence as a
matter of urgency and act with speed to seek solutions to the problem. I strongly suggest that the
board members employ youth motivation by using incentives as the most appropriate approach
when handling this matter. The issue has a direct negative significance to the club as a whole;
hence, there are concerns to address the matter with urgency.
Requested action
I request that this proposal be approved to commence investigations towards addressing
the matter in question. This is because you manage and make decisions for and on behalf of the
club. The proposal seeks to find out how to enhance youths' voluntary participation in the soccer
club through motivation. It is designed to realize a satisfactory solution to the repetitive
challenges in the club.
, Detailed model of approach to enhance volunteer participation in Maryland Elite Soccer
Club.
Outline
I. Introduction
The soccer club members have been demotivated to perform in the recent past.
Demotivated and fatigued players have contributed to a drop in the club's overall
performance due to their reduction in numbers.
Consequently, the team has not been able to qualify to participate in the national
interclub competitions held annually due to losing fifteen dependable players in
the recent past.
Incentives through college scholarships are the most appropriate means of players'
motivation.
II. Proposal Plan
1. College scholarships to volunteer youths in soccer clubs are the most appropriate
means of motivation. The plan can be executed through various activities,
including liaised partnerships with learning institutions to achieve the desired
result.
a) Well-motivated youths have the will to do more in a better way. It is also
essential as it challenges the youths to remain in the club and reduce their
chances to quit.
b) Motivation helps build a good attitude towards the club and recognition of
talents amongst the youth.
