Technology Requirements
This lab requires students to draw what they see in the microscope. Here are a few options for
drawings:
1. Draw in Desktop version of Microsoft Word
a. How to Draw in Microsoft Word 2013
b. Newer Version may have a Draw tab you can use
2. Use an online drawing program
a. AutoDraw - Right click and “Take a Screenshot” to copy
b. Pixilart
3. Draw pictures by hand and upload a picture
Part I: Prokaryotic Cell Structure

Access the BioNetwork’s Virtual Microscope
Click on the “Launch Activity” button.
Click on “Explore”
Click on the slide box. Click on “Bacteria Slides” then on “Gram Stain Mix.”
Sketch/draw (no screen shots) the image at Scanning, Low and High Power. When you
are done click on “Remove Slide.”

Part II: Eukaryotic Cell Structure
Click on the slide box. Click on “Animal Slides” then on “Whitefish Interphase.”

power the CELL MEMBRANE, CYTOPLASM, and NUCLEUS. When you are done click on
“Remove Slide.”
