After communicating with members of the community to research healthcare issues in the area, a major concern of the community is the increase in obesity. The goal of this assessment is to discuss contributing factors, interventions for prevention, as well as resources to promote an active and healthy lifestyle. This assessment will cover the statistics, contributing factors such as community health services, genetics, cultural, behavior, environmental, and socioeconomic status related to obesity in South Jersey. Current interventions targeted towards
