Over the years, healthcare has had a rise in the use of electronic health records (EHR). The use of EHR is for healthcare providers to have quick access to the patients entire medical records. The EHR system also allows for healthcare facilities to have better technology for collecting research data. The increased use of health information systems and information technology (IT) in healthcare heightens the risk of security and privacy breaches (Mubashir, Tarraf, & Ahmad, 2019). Protecting the patients privacy is imperative for healthcare providers, therefore, use of EHR must be used ethically and comply with federal regulations. This is why i
