, Background Information
“We Make Windows”, Inc. is a new advertising company that desire to implement a
Windows network infrastructure. WMW plans to start with 90 employees for the following
departments:
Executives (9 employees) – manage and run the company
Accounts and Sales Department (15 employees) – perform market research and maintain
accounts
Creative, Media and Production Department (49 employees) – advertising
Human Resources and Finances (12 employees) – perform HR and financial duties
IT (5 employees) – manage IT for the company
WMW has established two sites, one in Los Angeles and one in New York. They have existing
networking equipment at this time. WMW requires a network solution that will be scalable for
their future needs over the next 2-3 years.
In this proposal, I will do my best to address and discuss some new features of Windows
server 2016 that WMW can make use of. Additionally, the deployment plan and recommended
editions to deploy will be covered. This proposal will also discuss the implementation of active
directory, DNS and DHCP, application services, file sharing, and print services.
New Features of Windows Server 2016
New features integrated into Windows Server 2016 are Server Manager, Hyper-V, and
Powershell Direct. Server Manager allows systems administrators to manage multiple servers
throughout the network in both local and remote geographic locations. Hyper-V allows systems
