Dear Swarovski,
I am very disappointed with my recent purchase of Swarovski earrings in green and silver
color. I am writing to file a complaint due to the inconvenience I have experienced and in
hopes of finding a solution to this issue.
For my friend's birthday on July 7, 2023, I wanted to purchase specific Swarovski earrings. On
the afternoon of her birthday, I visited the Swarovski store in Haarlem because the website
indicated that the desired earrings were in stock there. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to
find out that this was not the case.
After a lengthy conversation with the staff member, we concluded that the only solution at
that moment was to visit another branch. Following a phone call from the staff member to
the other branch, I was informed that the desired earrings were available at the Amsterdam
branch. With an apology from the staff member, I headed to Amsterdam.
Upon arrival in Amsterdam, due to a miscommunication, the wrong color earrings had been
set aside, which I unfortunately did not notice. The earrings were already wrapped, and
because I was in a hurry, I paid for them and left.
When I arrived at the birthday celebration and presented the gift, I was surprised to see that
they were blue and silver earrings instead of the green and silver color my girlfriend had
desired. I took the gift back, promising my girlfriend that I would arrange the correct color.
The next day, I returned to the Amsterdam branch and exchanged the earrings for the
correct color.
To prevent customer experiences like this in the future, it would be advisable to maintain
accurate stock information on the website and to minimize miscommunication among
different branches and colleagues. All of this has taken a significant amount of my time to
rectify the errors made by the store staff and the system. Instead of a single visit to purchase
the desired item, I had to visit a branch three times. As compensation for the inconvenience
and issues faced, I would appreciate a discount on a future purchase.
