corporate bond holdings. This report will analyze the rate of return and risk relationship rate for
the following companies: Apple, Caterpillar, Consolidation Edison, Northern Trust, and
Macy's.
One of the risks addressed in the 10-K for all companies was the impact that COVID-19
had on the overall business, and the stock price is subjected to volatility. COVID-19 is a
factor that worsens the risk/return ratio, as we saw in March of 2020 the impact on these
companies' stocks, with some companies losing more than half of their value. Having a
volatile stock can also produce great returns.
