Jason Levesque
Jason is a self-taught artist, who is also a motion designer, illustrator and animator. His work
is a blend of fantasy, portraiture and comic, art nouveau. They also show his fascination
with biology and earth sciences. He switches his mediums from photography, drawing,
screen printing and painting. His prints are then photoshopped to create a striking visual
image.
Some of his artwork has a significant relation to ‘gluttony and greed’. I feel that some of the
images are very eerie and abstract, but this is probably how he wants them to be perceived.
Looking at his other work and the main emphasis being blood and body parts. The only
criticism I would have; is that I would like to see his art in a less graphic nature, but this is his
signature trait. Jason also says that when his sales are down, he just concentrated on
photography and photoshop, as it’s less time consuming, but he is aware that becoming
complement will not be successful and all artists need commitment and drive to become
successful.
