The media should be trusted to provide the means to change people’s perceptions of
minorities? But the real question can also be. How much can the media be trusted? There are a
lot of people who might have mix feelings about the topic and can often go back and forth. Not
everyone is a fan of the media as it can always be a bias answer. In particular we can focus on
some of the pros involving minorities in not just our communities, but in the country or
perhaps globally. Many minorities are always at a disadvantage. These people are never in
favor or consider in many debates, but when they come together, they can form a positive
change. Many Americans still believe and have to work harder to give other people blacks,
Hispanics, Asians, etc. more rights than white Americans. This seems like a never-ending topic
to many. Some major points come with employments, salaries and better education.
Employment can be a very hard subject to many and especially when it comes to minorities.
Some of these people do not always have the possibilities and chances that many white
Americans might have and it could be because of the language and the ability to understand and
communicate with others or perhaps being able to legally work freely like many other people
can now a days. In a study with the Pew Research Org. “a majority of adults say that being white
helps people’s ability to get ahead in the country at least a little 59%; 28% say being white
neither nor hurts and 12% say it hurts (pewresearch.org) the same issue comes for other races.
For example: Hispanics, Asians, Muslims and others. In this case having equal employment
opportunity for all it’s the best answer to many people’s questions and to ensure that there is
no discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity,
physical, or mental ability religion, medical condition, ancestry, marital status, pregnancy,
generic information, veteran status or age for all. Minorities might not always have the power
