Having had in-person courses for all of my previous college experience, I knew this would be different and take some adjusting to. During my graduate programs research, I discovered a study involving graduate students and what they felt was important as academic support during their online classes. This study found that essential supports were interactions with other colleges in their courses and with the instructors through the class discussion boards.
