TS is considered a rare medical condition, that will typically affect less than 2% of school aged children. Finding the most effective mode of treatment is critical due to the nature of tic-related impairments that are often prevalent and the affect these can have on an individual in their everyday life. This is also a disorder that commonly has comorbidities that exists within the majority of children afflicted with TS, with some research showing up to 60% of those diagnosed.
