1. Write a summary of your chosen children’s book and highlight the science concepts that are included
(± half a page). Include the name of the book and the author, as well as an image of the front cover of
the book.
Chosen children book:
Jack and the Beanstalk
Jack and the Beanstalk is a Fairy tale book that was
rewrote by a few writers. This version is wrote by Nick
Sharratt and Stephen Tucker.
The story is about a lazy boy living with his mother. His
father was killed by a giant which took all their
belongings and is the reason they are extremely poor.
They only had one cow left when Jack decided to
exchange for beans. His mother was incredibly angry
and threw the beans out of the window. The next day
Jack saw that the beans grew extremely high into a beanstalk. He started to climb the beans and discover a
house owned by the giant and his wife. He tricked the wife a few times by staying for food and then left by
stealing something valuable from the giant. After the third time doing it, the giant followed Jack and died
when he felt form the beanstalk when it was cut off.
