Current Issues in Leadership
Many leaders today possess a certain quality that helps them to stand out as a hirable asset
to their employees. Certain styles that they portray can help contribute the success of a
department in many positive ways. Transformational and charismatic styles of leadership are
examples of leadership styles that offer great ways to appeal to employees. Some leaders choose
their audience on what styler of leadership the person is more receptive to. I will discuss both
styles and which one would more represent me.
Transformational leaders
Transformational leaders are very committed and possessing a vision for the organization.
They show individual consideration and inspiration that motives and influences those around them.
They believe in moral business ethics and possess qualities that aspire to their peers that certainly
motivates people around them. They provide guidance for their followers and are excellent role
models. Others around them feel that they could succeed beyond their expectations through self-
efficiency (Vera,2014). Transformational leadership has been viewed in four segments:
individualized consideration, inspirational motivation, idealized influence, and intellectual
stimulation. All of which help companies grow due to the organized approach the transformational
leader devoted their time to. Individualized consideration helps employees gain confidence in their
work by having a one-on-one time with their leader by being able to express their point of views
and ways to make their time better with the company. This leadership style actually employs
charismatic behaviors and motivates subordinates to provide better outcomes, more profitability,
and satisfying careers (Sayyadi, 2020).Inspirational motivation could consist of a motivational team
meeting for the department so that they could gain knowledge and insight and inspiration on what
