Google became a successful, billion-dollar company brand name by capitalizing on an
online-only product in the still early years of the internet. Google capitalized on certain internet
products such as search engines and search engine optimization (SEO), advertising, pay-per-
clicks, and more. Search Engines for example, were familiar with customers already at the time
but they created a search engine with better technology, building their own system and creating
an entirely new search strategy. Google offered and created products that are extremely
important to many online businesses now.
Google’s success comes from their strategy of having such a broad market scope and they
offer products to everyone almost worldwide. They have a competitive business model because
they have added uniqueness to their products and have also taken a product such as a search
engine and they have greatly improved upon it so they keep their business competitive. They
have the greater advantage due to their changes and better technology that they have created and
have steadily improved. The firm continues to grow in sales, new markets, number of employees
and new products offered. (Frost, 2019).
Google created and has maintained a positive image by its open access. They have
offered their search engine as a free and open platform which brings in users with no problems.
There is no loss in using Google as a search engine and by offering the free product and drawing
in new users who become repeat users. Google also created and offered a higher-quality product
and service than their competitors. This is the main way how they have successfully built their
