, OBSERVATION ACTIVITY
Use the observation schedule to note down your observations of the
following for each period:
Period 1
The classroom (e.g. is there enough seating, is it clean, etc.)
Its clean and refreshing, enough chairs and tables for every learner.
The atmosphere (e.g. is it inviting, interesting, conducive to learning, well-
resourced or not, etc.)
It is so inviting, and it has learning resources.
The subject

The teaching approach (e.g. direct instruction, interactive learning, etc) and
how learners respond to this
The teaching approach is direct instruction and how learners respond to this it
seems like they used to this teaching approach, everyone responds positively.
The expectations the teacher has of learners (how they must enter, where
they must sit, what they may or may not do, how they may participate) and
how learners respond to this
The expectations the teacher has of learners that girls must enter the
classroom first then boys follow and how learners respond to this, they do
follow what their teacher is expected of them.
Time spent on task (how much of the period is used for teaching and
learning) and what learners do if there is time left
they do yesterday corrections then the teacher gives them the new activity of
the day and what learners do if there is time left, they mark and do corrections
Learner interaction
the learners do ask questions during the lesson.
