, Level of Biological Organization
• The biological levels of organization range from a single
organelle all the way up to the biosphere in a highly
structured hierarchy
• Living things are highly organized and structured,
following a hierarchy that can be examined on a scale
from small to large
• In the range, atom is the smallest and most fundamental
unit of matter. Some living things contain one cell that
performs all needed functions
• Multicellular organisms are made of many parts that are
needed for survival. These parts are divided into levels of
organization
