The client is non-compliant to his diabetic management plan. Assessment(A)- The client is alert, awake and oriented x3. His current vital signs are Blood Pressure 80/62, Respirations 30, Heart Rate 164, and 02 sat 91% on 2L via nasal cannula. The client's lab values include: sodium 128, potassium 5.1, BUN 44, Creatinine 3.0, Total Bilirubin 2.8, calcium 8.7, WBCs 16.1, Hemoglobin 9.3, Hematocrit 28.2 digoxin level 0.6, and glomerular filtration rate of 25. The ECG indicated atrial fibrillation and the Chest x-ray indicated that that the right lung opacities are great than the left lung. A 20 gauge IV catheter was inserted in the left forearm with IV fluids of 0.9% NaCl at 100 ml/hr. Client was given 1000 ml of 0.9% NaCl in order to increase Blood pressure.
