Quote:
‘We designed the questions in such a way as to help the interviewees think about how their
status as organizational members had changed since their first day in the organization and
what processes led to those changes.’ and ‘The 61-item questionnaire had nine to eleven
items for each of the six dimensions noted above. Items reflected the specific content of the
six themes.’.
Argue:
There are two research methods used in this research. The first one is the interview research
method and the second one is the index research method. The quote shows the interview
research method, it is about the questions asked in the interview. This method is used because
it was the best way to understand human’s reaction and to get a clear view. When for
example the quantitive research method was used, researchers would be unable to understand
the human thoughts.
Question:
Shouldn’t there be more participants used in the research?
Are the participants questioned individually, or could people have influenced one another by
being in the same space and share opinions?
Are the participants who participated in the research of the article from a
wide enough range to get realistic results?
Connection:
The article is a good example of the course material of the week. The article gives a real life
example of , for example, the interview research method. The course material of this week
describes also the information that fits in the index research method.
