The assigned reading from Teaching in Nursing: A Guide for Faculty discusses the use of
technology in nursing education. Consider the types of technology devices available today
such as eReaders, smartphones, and net books, to name just a few. Select one type of
technology application and explain how it is changing the nature of the learning
environment and/or the learner's experience in it.
With advances in technology, the learning experience has gotten better. In nursing,
technology has been deployed across the globe to provide learning with the best learning
experiences ever. Some of the technological devices that have previously been used include e-
readers, mobile devices, eBooks, to name just a few. However, in recent times, things are
changing and virtual learning technologies are being deployed in the nursing learning
environment (Boulos et al., 2007).
