Introduction
, Technology is one of the tools that increase efficiency, as well as reducing complexity of most
services. Currently, technology has evolved to the point that it has various applications in
different fields including the field of medicine. This being the information age, I believe that
information technology is the most important of all technology that is to be beneficial to
mankind. In this regard, the use of Mobile Health (mHealth) Technology in nursing education
and practice seems to be the most important technological breakthrough currently applicable in
nursing and medicine world at large.
This technology comes with various potentials including treatment improvement, reduction of
disparities, advancement in research, enhancement in diagnostics, disease prevention, increase
access to health services, lowering health care costs, as well as fostering education. This paper
defines mobile technology to include sensors and wireless devices intended to be carried, worn,
or accessed by people in the course of their normal activities. mHealth on the other hand is

patients themselves. In this paper, we are going to examine the current importance mHealth in
the field of nursing which includes the offering of nursing education, patient education, patient
attendance, as well as research in nursing practice.
mHealth In Nursing Practice
